what we do

Forum Theatre

Forum is interactive, entertaining and often provocative

No 'show and tell', just lots of 'get-up-and-do'

An interactive workshop, designed to empower participants to share and experience real-world situations in the complete safety of the training room

Every workshop is put together as a bespoke package and can be tailored to any grade or level of experience, including the board room. It can be used for initial training, refreshers, problem-solving (including pre-emptive), identifying high potential

Participating as a 'third person' places participants outside the normal stresses and emotions they might encounter in the middle of conflict or difficult situations

Forum is a useful and safe 'jumping-off' point for improving communication, highlighting difficulties and discovering latent potential in self and others

Actors and facilitators can stop the action at any point to get help and suggestion towards successful conclusions from participants

After an initial meeting with you, we create a short play or series of short improvisations based around particular situations and familiar characters

At a crucial point, the play ends, facilitated discussion begins and the scene can be replayed and modified countless times until a solution becomes clear and the obstacles are removed

Participants can direct the actors by giving them words or lines to say, instructions on body language or manner

They can 'hot-seat' the characters to find out exactly how they're feeling

Then step right into the action themselves

The great thing about forum is that it doesn't matter how many times the situation (or the actors!) crash and burn - we just pick it up, dust it down and have another go
